Yesterday was warm, wet, and windy with a high of 11C. This morning it is cloudy, raining, and 6C. Today is suppose to be damp (rain or flurries) with the temperature dropping to 4C this afternoon.
Lifestyle
I spent a bit of time yesterday trying to find more history on one of the branches of the family tree. They are not Acadian but Huguenots who came from an area of Frances near Switzerland. I did learn a lot in the short time I set aside to do genealogy.
One of my jobs for the morning was to clean the bathroom and it was a big job. Full off fluff which ended up clogging the vacuum cleaner. It is now clean. I hauled out the ladder and cleaned both the lights and the fan. No allergy attacks as the fan was reasonably clean.
The second job was to take out garbage as it needed to be done. I gathered it up and out it went. That job done, I went to gas up the car. It was misting out when I left and the 2 minutes it takes to get to the gas pump, it started to rain. While pumping gas, it let up only to rain on my way home.
I looked at the ditch in front of my place and the water has been running in it. It has a lot of water in it but nothing to really worry about. The rainfall warning has said there was to be over an inch of rain fall and there could be flooding as the ground is frozen.
Sewing
I spent time in the sewing room and got a lot done on the dress. I was worried about doing the pleats on the dress but they were easy to do. I am ready to sew the straps, attached and then do the bodice lining in and finish it up.
I sewed slowly and carefully. The pattern is well drafted and the instructions are good.I took the hat I had added flowers to and it matches the colour of the dress perfectly.
Knitting
I forced myself to pick up the vest and knit the 7 rows of ribbing on the first armhole. Once I got started, I enjoyed knitting.
I will have to force myself to pick up the stitches for the other armhole as it isn't a job I enjoy. But I will do it so I can finish this project and start knitting socks.Thoughts
The storm that swept across us will be gone this morning and we can enjoy drier weather. It is suppose to be nice week with sunshine appearing on Monday. Hurrah for that.
My medication is kicking in nicely now and I am feeling better. I have more energy and am interested in doing things. I will be starting my cleaning and cooking list so I can get caught up once again. I am ready to do more every day which is a wonderful feeling.
I haven't walked this week due to appointments and me not feeling the best on Wednesday. I am looking forward to starting back again next week. I have missed it.
Today
I have to fold laundry, make a lasagna, and clean the front entrance. I would like to finish the doll's dress, and knit tonight. I am starting to get back into the swing of things once again.
Until the next time...............................................................
