Yesterday was sunny and warmer with a high of 11C. This morning it is mainly clear and -2C. Today is supposed to be mainly sunny with a high of 13C.
Lifestyle
First and foremost, thank you for the kind comments about Elliott. I appreciated each and every one of them.
I was out early to the community hall to make sandwiches. I jumped from one job to another as needed as we had lots of help. I did help grandson and daughter-in-law with the set up for the celebration of life. I was really tired when I left. Most was from having a poor night's sleep. Doing the physical work was great.
Once home, I had a rest and then got busy. I had to get Elliott's things picked up and put away or gotten rid of. His litter box is out for garbage pick up in two weeks. The feeder is put away as it was dispensing food right on time. It is clean and the batteries put away. Food was dealt with some items going to the vet to be donated. His toys are in a box ready to be gone. He didn't play with toys very often so there is no real sentimental value to them. I did some vacuuming and called it a day.
I did have a nap after lunch. It revived me enough that I went grocery shopping. Once home, I did a few more things and then sat down and did nothing. I was done for the day.
I really did miss Elliott yesterday. When I come in, I was ready to call out "I'm home". I miss petting him when I walked by him and talking to him. At this time, I am working through my emotions. I doubt if I will get another cat. The Spousal Unit and I talked about him being our last cat when we got him. As time went on, we continued to say that as he was such a unique cat and he would be our last one.
Thoughts
I fared well yesterday considering. I went over my memories and had a few good laughs and a few tears. I was tired which didn't help. My brain wanted to escape from the world which I let it do for a while. I will move forward knowing both the Spousal Unit and Elliott are together.
I did enjoy the warmer weather yesterday. I was out without my winter coat on which was lovely. I also enjoyed the sunshine coming in the windows. I am ready for spring to come but am not holding my breath. We could have some colder crappy weather before the end of the month.
The sore muscles around my hip joints are relaxing and have been less painful since I had osteopathy. I am able to move more easily due to being almost pain free. I am doing more each day which is nice.
Today
I am going to have an at home day and do some housework in the morning and prep some fabric after lunch. I want time at home as I have been on the run a lot lately. If I can, I will knit tonight.
Until the next time..........................................................
