A Day To Rest While It Is Stormy

 Yesterday started out sunny and warm with a high of 22C. Late afternoon the rain started and the temperature dropped to 17C. We had a wet and windy evening. 

The storm in early afternoon. There were few people on the beach even then.

We started out the day doing laundry. The first load dried as it was warm. The second load dried slower due to the rising humidity. I am hoping it is dry this morning. 

I rested a lot yesterday as I was sore in areas I didn't think would be sore. It was from the jar I had when I fell. I did watch the weather change and walked around the apartment to keep limber. We have a large apartment and I can walk around quietly while son is working. 

We continued to watch the storm all evening and it was similar to the heavy rain storms we get at home. The only difference is we get to watch the surf come in here. 

I was surprised at how cool it feels when it rains here. I think a lot has to do with the humidity and the wind. As soon as the sun goes down it cools off which is nice. I am wondering if it will be cool at night in mid December when it will be the longest day of the year.

I did knit on my socks yesterday and am about 15 rows from starting the heel flap. I forgot my book at home so am guessing at how many rows to knit using a pair of socks I brought. I have been reading light mystery books and watching my videos also. 

I am not sure what we are doing today. The rain should be stopping soon but it is going to be windy. I am sure we will be out walking to see the sights. We may even take the bus somewhere to snoop around. I hope to take pictures today if we get outside.
