Yesterday was a busy day for both of us. Again. The Spousal Unit did some gyproc mudding and plumbing. He also worked on the material list for the drop ceiling we have to put in the storage area of the basement.
I continued to clean up the kitchen. I have all the lower cupboards and drawers cleaned up and 6 items made it to the yard sale pile. I also did the spice shelf and have it cleaned and organized. I will be working on the upper cupboards for the next few days.
I made it down to the sewing room and cut out the glittery sheer on the sleeves. I did get one of the sleeves sewn down and the leaves glued on. I also laid the crystals on it for review. Jet will be put on the black.
I was looking for a piece of paperwork this afternoon and found a book of quotes or thoughts to ponder. It was given to the group of teachers who were taking professional development from the writer. I looked at the quotes and found my favourite from back then and it is still my favourite today.
Learning is reflecting on experience – John Dewey
I thought about what I have been doing and where I want to go. I want to move forward and learn more. I can do what I do well but I want to learn more. As I have reflected on my experiences, there is no use standing at this crossroad. I can go sideways or I can go forwards. Sometimes that means setting aside what you are comfortable doing and taking on the challenge; something I want to do. Couture finishes, practicing what I learned from Ron Collins, fitting us better, and understanding patterns is where I want to go.
As Connie said “We are only limited by the scope and size of our own personal vision.
Until tomorrow…………….

your cleaning schedule is wonderful - you must be super organised - my poor cupboards are sadly in need of a spring clean.
