Underwear Pattern
Braiding Doll's Hair
Circular Skirt
Loiseau Fabrics
With the t-shirt tucked in we have the 1/3 (top) to the 2/3 (bottom). Though both are plain fabrics, it is pleasing to the eye.
The top fits well through the body as I took the side seams in from 1/4" to 1/2". I am a stickler for a smooth fit of clothing on the dolls.
But look carefully. I have the shoulder seams pinned up another 1/4" and this means that the sleeve needs to be narrower in the cap.
The pattern was a free one and it has never fit the Gotz dolls well. I have fiddled and tinkered with it. I did buy a t-shirt pattern for these dolls and I will make it later on and compare the two t-shirts.
With the thoughts of a third doll moving into our household, I have to think about making wardrobes for three dolls plus some to sell. Themes are starting to roll in my head. Spring is coming and I would love to do a Spring wardrobe for the dolls.
The idea of planning a wardrobe came from this mood board.

I added 1.4" to the neckline and made a neck facing. I sewed the shoulder seams 3/8" as well as the side seams. Fit is pretty good.

I spent the afternoon sewing the doll's t-shirt. I kept in mind about proportion and how this would look best on the doll. As I sewed, the t-shirt wasn't sitting right with me. Had it stretched? Not according to the pattern as I laid it on top of the fabric. I realized a couple of things when I put the almost finished product on the doll.

When doing the drafting from one pattern to another, I forgot to measure the inner leg seam. The back one was about 1/2" longer than the front one. I fixed the pattern and the shorts were done in one day.
We chose to not to hem them so they will fray. The length is a bit long but when they fray 1/4" we will decide if I need to make them shorter.

I am knitting the short sleeved sweater to go with a sweater set designed by Peggy Stuart. The pattern isn't available yet. My take on the pattern was to add beads to the front.

This mood board has sparked ideas for another wardrobe idea.
Denim is a favorite of mine and I find this inspiring. As I looked through my Pinterest board on Doll Clothes Ideas, a wardrobe evolved.
- Jeans - dark, pin stripe, faded using our old jeans
- Leggings - denim I have in the stash
- Sweaters - denim, taupe, white
- Sagittaria crochet cowl in oatmeal with a denim fleck
- Messy Bun hat in oatmeal with a denim fleck
- Top in left over knit with navaho print
- Chambray tops
- White t-shirts (taupe or denim if it can be found)
- Brown cowboy boots
- Taupe Uggs
- Ski Jacket
As you can see, the list is extensive and could go on with a lot more ideas. I will be having fun with this one.

Knitting Ideas for Dolls
Spring Wardrobe - Think Pastel
The idea of planning a wardrobe came from this mood board.
My colors are different but still pastel.
On the radar is:
On the radar is:
- 2 pair of jeans -- peach and aqua
- peach leggings
- top/dress (top for one doll, dress for the other)
- hand knit sweater (peach, aqua, cream/pale yellow) Kelby or Astra would be my choice. (Patterns on hand)
I need to find another print cotton to go with these fabric so each doll will have a different dress and top. I may load up the fabric and go to the fabric store and look for a piece. I will start with what I have and work from there.
Easter Outfits
These are the fabrics for the Easter Outfits. The outfits will be different types of patterns and use different prints. The third outfit will be like Anna's but in a different print. Kate's and the one for sale will use three different fabrics. I'm looking forward to making these outfits.
Sweaters
The first of the Wonder Turtle sweaters are done and the girls decided to model them.
Theme Ideas
- Winter vacation in the mountains
- Spring time in the desert
- Summer on the road
- Fall in Nova Scotia
