Yesterday was a mix of sun and cloud with a high of 23.9C. This morning it is mainly sunny and 10C. Today is to be mainly sunny with a high of 25C.
Lifestyle
I did yoga yesterday morning and I was stiff to start with but much better by the time I ended. I did have sore muscles though which is annoying.
As it was rest day, I took it easy. I took some items up to the shed that we don't want out during the yard sale. While at the shed, I loaded 3 lawn chairs into the wagon to bring down to the garage. I decided to get out the hose and hook it up. That led to me to watering the garlic and the box where the leeks will be planted. I also pounded the broken spikes out of one of the edging pieces from the hedge. I decided to stop at that point and bring the chairs down and call it a morning. I was tired.
My friend's dog saw me coming back down to the garage and ran up to see me. She was so excited to get her pettings. But, she was not suppose to do that. My friend came up to talk for a few minutes and took her home.
Inside, I had a 30 minute rest on the bed. It did help a lot and I needed it as I was going out with family in the evening. What I didn't know was I had an IBS attack coming on which plagued me until midnight. It was food related. It took a while for me to figure out it was from eating slightly cooked onion (almost raw) two mornings in a row. I won't be doing that again. Weight loss as I didn't eat much was 1.5 lbs. I am 2.7 lbs from my lightest weight.
Last evening we went to grandson's school for Spring Fling. All the music classes from grade 6 to grade 12 play 2 songs each. We thought the grade 10 class was the best until the grade 11/12 class played. They blew their songs out of the water. Grandson played in the jazz band that meets in the morning. He had a solo piece in one of his songs. He also played in the grade 10 class as they needed a tenor saxophone. Overall, it was the best Spring Fling and all the classes did really well. The new music teacher is an asset to the school's fine art's program.
Sewing
I did sew yesterday and got block #3 completed. I do like it.
At this time row 1 is complete waiting for me to decide on what colour the sashing will be. Block #4 is half square triangles. I am looking forward to this block as I want to work on points.I also worked on the shoes as I found more elastic in the mask making bag. I added a flower to the front of each one using pearls and clear crystals. They are not historically correct but do look good with the outfit. One full size picture. Only two more items to make -- the French hood and a necklace.
I did play with the memory journal a bit. I got the 4 cartoon pieces glued onto tag and the insert cut for the card. I need to watch the video on how to put it together.
Knitting
None done yesterday.
Thoughts
We are 1 of 7 places listed in our area for the yard sale on Saturday. That is great as people will drive out here for that many places. We are almost ready; we just need to price items and get the garbage cans outside.
There was a freaky accident down on the highway into Halifax. A loaded dump truck went off an overpass and landed on the highway right side up. It almost hit a school bus. No one was hurt though I am sure there were a lot of shaken people.
I had a bit of a funk this month. The first half of the month is full of memories. My mother-in-law's birthday, in-laws anniversary, my dad's and sister-in-law's birthdays and the Spousal Unit and my anniversary. It wasn't as rough as I thought it would be but I did have some sadness as all have passed but my sister-in-law (whom I can't get in touch with).
Today
I am out to get my Covid vaccine at 9:30 am and then home to work in the garage. I am going to make a couple of signs and I may price items that are written down. I am not sure what I will be doing this afternoon or evening as I know that I will crash from the lack of sleep and vaccine. I will do what I can and rest when I am not able to function.
Until the next time...........................................................
