Lifestyle
We headed out in two cars to explore. Seven of us had a fabulous day with great memories. Our first stop was at Chester and we walked down to the Mahone Bay.The land is Meisners Island in the bay. It is privately owned.
We walked back up and saw this Willy's jeep bringing back memories of the two my dad owned years ago.
There are many old buildings in Chester as it was first inhabited in the 1750's. This gorgeous house is well maintained and I loved the rock chimney.
We went back to the stores we looked in last year and the glass ware in one shop is all hand made.
We left to go to Peggy's Cove. On the drive over we saw a lot of rip currents. The thought of them being the waves is untrue; it is the calm waters between the waves that is the rip. We enjoyed the waves a lot.
Peggy's Cove is a light house on rocks. You walk up and around the rocks to look at the ocean which is majestic.
The waves were powerful and you could see the spray coming up over the rocks. You could sit on the rocks for hours watching the waves.
We had dinner in Halifax and walked the wharf area. It was the perfect ending to a perfect day.
Sewing
I bought these fat quarters to make a doll's outfit. I have ideas tickling in my brain on what I want to make.Knitting
I cast on and have 6 rows of ribbing done on a Messy Bun Hat for Daughter. This yarn has a metallic thread in it. The dolls will get hats out of the left over yarn.Today
We are putting on the second coat of primer in the sewing room. YES!!Until the next time.........................
