Lifestyle
With the heat and having to stay indoors came irritation. We were both cranky and on edge. When the thunderstorm came and the temperature dropped, we both felt better. The Spousal Unit swept the garage floor while I did the upstairs floors. We kind of laughed over that. We then went to the downstairs bathroom and made a list of what needs to be done to finish it up. A trip to Home Depot for items and then to order a few items online. The jobs can be done on hot days in August.
Last night while watering the garden, the neighbor's cat was out there with the Spousal Unit. He followed him to the front of the house and laid on the sidewalk. He was there for over an hour relaxing. I took the picture through the screen on the living room window.
We call him Elliott 2 as he looks a lot like Elliott. A bit smaller with less white on his face and body.
We have been 15 days with no new cases of the virus. Today is mandatory mask day which is one step to prepare for the 2nd wave.
Sewing
I had a good time sewing yesterday. I finished Anna's overalls and am pleased with the results. One thing I have to say about Joy Doll patterns -- read the instructions. They are clear and concise and leave no room for error. The fit is really good and the other girls want a pair each.
Next up is a blouse by the same designer. Lots of pieces but a cute pattern.
Knitting
The sweater is blocked. I had to apply a bit of steam to the ribbing as it wanted to curl up after I removed the pins. I can now sew it together. No other knitting was done.
Today
The goal this morning is to finish cleaning the garage while it is cool outside. This afternoon I hope to clean the sewing room. Tonight I would like to sew the sweater together. A busy day of cleaning.Until the next time................................
