The sewing room closet is done. I worked through the doll's fabrics and eliminated 25% of it. The rest fit in the tub with room to spare. The goal is to donate any fabric left over from a project to a quilting group. That helped me get through the last tub. That purge was 14.7 meters.
Are a few pieces of the fabric calling me? Yes but I am ignoring them. They are from what I use to want to be not what I want to be now. I keep telling myself that.
The floor of the sewing room closet was washed and three tubs, 2 pillow forms, and a bolt of muslin was place inside. Two of the tubs have fabric in them and the third one hold doll quilts I have made and will make. I have empty hangers in that closet and the ones that a used have items I use.
I stood and admired the end result. I am pleased with what is left. It may be a bit more than I had hoped but it is below my clutter threshold. I know I can see what I have and can donate items I will not use if I desire to do that.
I will have to say that this closet has the least amount of items in it since we moved here 7 years ago. I love the space and it is wanting me to declutter hard in the rest of the sewing room. My next area to tackle is the area where the desk and small table are.
I will keep the sewing room closet tabs up for a while and then take them down. I will do tabs for the next area and repeat the process until the room is purged and cleaned.
