Yesterday was grey, dark and wet. The high got to 18C. This morning it is partly cloudy and 14C. Today is supposed to be a mix of sun, clouds, and showers with a high of 18C.
Lifestyle
I enjoyed moving slowly for the first bit of yesterday morning. I enjoyed my coffee without having to rush out the door. It was a great feeling just to sit and savour the quiet time.
I was out the door to the shed first thing. I got out two more tubs for plants before it rained.
I have one more tub half filled with soil and one to fill. I am out of dirt so may have to take dirt from the boxes to fill the rest of the pots.
Once I was done with the pots, I decided to fix the umbrella on the deck. When I took it down, I got a piece stuck in place. My big attempt to fix it ended up with the umbrella part down on the deck. I left it as it was just starting to rain; more like a mist coming in. It was in the house I went. I did get the umbrella fixed later in the afternoon. It took me a few tries but I did got it done.
I cleaned up the kitchen yesterday. I did a big clean making sure everything was put away, counters scrubbed, and the appliances cleaned and shined. Even the sink got a good cleaning and shining. I also cleaned the dining room table.
The last job of the morning was to fold the laundry I had done yesterday. It was put away also. I got out the dry mop and cleaned under the couch so Rosie could sweep it up. Then I emptied Rosies dust bin which was about 3/4's full. I took the canned air and the filter and cleaned it outside. I was lucky enough to do that between rain storms.
I took a better picture of the solar lights at the shed. I was surprised at how bright they shone as it was so dull and grey yesterday.
Sewing
I finished the bag yesterday. I did cut out the squares in the corner to box them. Normally I don't but I wanted to try it this time. It works okay. I usually do them the way you said, Carol.
I am looking for ribbon for it. So far I have found none in the house though I have one more spot to look.
I also spent a lot of time sewing the rabbit's head on. I am happy with how it looks.
I also pinned the arms in place but they aren't right. It was just to see how she looked. Weird to say the least. The arms need to come down from the head about 3/4" and then be turned so she looks like she is reaching for something. I didn't do that as I was out of time. Today's job.Knitting
I knit last night and got the foot done and 9 rows of the toe done.
I need to wind a skein into a ball so I can start the next pair of socks. I also want to knit the doll's coat while I do the next pair of socks.Thoughts
The wind blew hard last night. It actually woke me up at 4 am. It blew the watering can off the deck. That was the only thing I had to pick up this morning. I am not sure why we had the wind blow so hard but am wondering if it blowing in a high pressure system.
With the barometric pressure being quite low, my knees did throb some but not as bad as they did a few days ago. The pressure went down slowly which may have allowed my knees not feel it so much. I hardly hobbled at all.
I have had 2 good nights sleep. I am grateful for that. But the lack of sleep and stress I have been feeling has given me a cold sore. I haven't had one for several years. Overall I had a great day yesterday which I enjoyed to the fullest.
Today
I have to do the balance sheet first thing. Then I want to clean the stairs and front entry way. I am going to vacuum the sewing and family rooms also. I want to finish the rabbit today. I will cut out a few mug rugs which I will sew while the embroidery machine stitches out a design. I will finish the socks tonight and start on the doll's coat. It is going to be another quiet day for me.
Until the next time.........................................................
