Projects Completed

Yesterday was mainly cloudy with a high of 21C (humidex 26). This morning it is cloudy and 9C. Today is supposed to be mainly cloudy this morning and a mix of sun and clouds this afternoon. We are to have a high of 19C.

Lifestyle

I did yoga yesterday morning and I was stiff and had some muscle cramping. There was no cracking in the joints and I was sore. I struggled all day with pain and finally got the SI joint to release in bed last night. I am not sure why it wouldn't release while doing yoga.

I was out after yoga to get my prescription filled for pick up today. I decided to check the garden center and I was surprised at the cost. A pack of 4 plants was $5.00. I got a six pack of plants for just under $4.00 at another garden center so I know where I will be shopping.

I cleaned up the kitchen once I got home. I spent time organizing some items, cleaning and disinfecting the counter tops, and shining up the appliances. It wasn't really dirty but I felt it needed doing. I checked on the fridge and all is good so I can start putting things back into it. I did cook a pork rice bowl for dinner and it was good. I made sure I left the kitchen clean.

Sewing

I did sew the last of the March fabric yesterday. It was an easy sew and all I have left to do is sew on the snaps. I literally ran out of time.

The skirt is easy as this is the 3rd time I have sewn it. The top is fairly easy though the neckline can be tricky. I marked it so I could follow the lines.

I really like this combination of top and skirt though I do need a break from sewing the skirt. I used it as it takes so little fabric when using up remnants.

I am now ready to cut out two gift bags and sew them up. That will be my April fabric gone from the stash. Then I need to make a list of more items to sew.

Knitting

The socks were finished last night.

I rolled them up and tied a piece of yarn around them. They will go into the Christmas gift box.

I also finished the pink sweater and need to sew the buttons on it.

I started the cream sweater and it is a delight to knit. The yarn is bamboo and silk. I got 15 rows done on it.

The bottom part of the sweater will be in another pattern as will the cuffs on the short sleeves.

Thoughts

Our little heat wave is gone and we are to have showers and cooler temperatures. Though not as hot as the ones we get in the summer, this one was a bit of a surprise after having such a cool late spring. The humidity was up and the dehumidifier in the basement was running a lot and I had to run the dehumidifier on the heat pump to cool down upstairs.

The pain is less this morning and I am hoping it will remain that way. I was really tired from the pain I had yesterday and hated how hard it was to move around. I did keep moving as I know it is part of getting the SI to release. I can't walk long distance but I can do short spurts of walking. I also have to remember not to over extend when reaching as that irritates the SI joint.

Today

I am out to make sandwiches at the community hall this morning. I am not sure if I will fill pots with dirt when I get home so I can start filling them with flowers and vegetables. I need to get started. This afternoon I will do some sewing and tonight I will knit on the blue socks and the cream sweater.

Until the next time...................................................................
