Vest One Is Done

This morning we saw the most amazing sky, which means to say our weather won’t be the nicest; windy for sure and maybe some showers.

018

I spent quite a bit of time in the sewing room yesterday finishing up the vest. I had lots of breaks though. I cut out and put in the lining and finished up the crystals.

005

While getting the vest ready to turn to the right side, I cut a lot of notches on the curved edges; more than usual. I trimmed the lining closer to the stitch line than the garment fabric. When I turned the vest right side out and worked with it, it turned so nice and smooth.

007

I just have the clasp/hook eye to sew on and it is done. Next on the list is a pink shirt with some of the saree sewn onto the front yokes. The client can wear the shirt with or without the vest and look great.

The Spousal Unit worked on the taking apart of the basement kitchen. It is cumbersome with all the pipes. The gas fitter removed the pipe to the stove and will put it back in again when we are ready.

The wall under the window has plywood to come off but there are water and sewer pipes that need to be dealt with.

The upper cupboards are gone but we now need to figure out the wall. It is keeping our thinking sharp.

We got petunias and cucumbers planted yesterday. We really have nothing else to plant as I buy the rest. Looking forward to it being warm enough to garden more.

I upped my exercise yesterday also. It is month two. I did 400 reps for each arm and 51 minutes on the Wii. My best achievement – I ran a little over 1.6 miles in 10 minutes. My balance is improving and I can feel my core muscles strengthening.

Until tomorrow……………….
