It was a “wait 5 minutes to see what the weather is like” kind of day yesterday. We experienced sunshine, rain, and wind on our trip. You could see where it had snowed and we were told there was hail. Not bad for our trip to the Okanogan.
I went to the Fabricland. It is the 50% off everything in the store sale (Ultimate Sale). Third one since Jan. 1st. My first round of the store (small in comparison to some I have been in) was to look at all the fabric.
Remember the top I just finished hand sewing all the glam on to.
I found it in three other colours and very expensive compared to what was paid for this piece.
Black Purple
White
I looked at a few other pieces but as I wasn’t buying for my stash I wasn’t really interested. I wandered some more and saw a jacket made out of bonded fleece. Could not find it anywhere so am assuming it flew out the door when people saw the jacket. Sorry no picture as there was no fabric. I will look again when we go back next month.
I picked up some buttons for the brocade shirt. It was a hard decision between the cream and the yellow.
I ended up with the cream. I bought a western shirt pattern that I have been eyeing for a long time.
And this fabric to make one for my client. It is called peacock and the colours are so rich.
I will do a muslin first to make sure the pattern fits her before cutting out this expensive cotton.
We did a bit of other shopping and headed home. On the way home, we stopped to pay for the cupboards for the downstairs kitchen. By the time we left the store, we were told that those cupboards had been pulled three times and put into storage. Did we ever laugh over that.
We were tired when we got home and Jill shows how we spent the evening.
It was a good day and we enjoyed our little trip immensely. Jill included.
Until tomorrow…………………….
