A Long Process

I woke up loosing the battle. I have a cold and my head feels achy and my throat is sore. I will be drinking lemon juice and ginger for a few days. I have been battling it on and off for a week now. Better than the flu that is going around. It is wicked.

I have the clear crystals on the red top. I have a bit of stitching to do on the black.

Next step is to put crystals on the black part. I put the jet and Labrador crystals on a sleeve.

Both look good but I am going with the Labrador. Bigger and will use less of them. I also like the sheen on them. I will start on applying them today.

The kitchen didn’t get looked at by me yesterday. I did work on the desk in the hall as I was looking for an address. I did consolidate the address books. I have coloured paper in the bottom drawer of the desk that I use periodically and will donate it this year.

I attended my last meeting for hampers at noon today. I let my employer know prior to our evening meeting that I would not be taking on another contract for literacy next year. I will volunteer to mentor the new person and the group when necessary. In June I will attend the last meeting of another group I sit on. I will pay the next person’s dues so they can be a part of that group. It does feel good to be retiring fully from the work force and move at my own pace. In the mean time, the show must go on as usual.

In the evening, I finished the flower on the last headband I had made. I have one left to do which I will gift to the person for helping me out in a pinch.
